In order to reschedule an available park shelter due to inclement weather, one must call the Administration Office at 910 938-5312 within three business days of the original reservation. No refunds will be issued for park shelter reservations. A member of the Administration staff will contact you to confirm your request. If you would like to reserve a particular park shelter for use, please select the appropriate park and submit your request online. Rental fees are charged based upon the appropriate fee for that facility, as designated by the current City of Jacksonville Fee Schedule. These gatherings encourage activities that are enriching to the lives of those who participate. Each of these facilities offer residents and visitors of Jacksonville the opportunity for recreational use, thus encouraging a place for friends, families and neighbors to gather for a common purpose. The department also operates two (2) splash pads during the summer season. The Jacksonville Recreation and Parks Department currently operates five (5) recreation centers, an outdoor amphitheater, a marina and seventeen (17) parks within the city limits of Jacksonville. ![]()
